NANJING (FIBA Diamond Ball) – Serbia aren’t playing at the Beijing Games this summer but don’t bet against them making it to London 2012 after their 99-62 destruction of Angola on Friday.

Dusan Ivkovic’s team brushed aside the African champions to clinch fifth place at the Diamond Ball for Men and show that good times are just around the corner the Blues.

Milos Vujanic made all six of his shots from three-point range en route to a game-high 18 points, including four in the first half when the European giants led by as many as 20.

Milton Barros banked in a three-pointer at the half-time buzzer to trim the Serbian lead to 45-33, but Serbia maintained a comfortable advantage the rest of the way.

When it was over, Serbia had made 14 of 24 shots from three-point range.

Milenko Tepic finished with 16 points, Nenad Krstic 14 and both Milos Teodosic and Novica Velickovic 10 for the Blues, who had lost their first two games in Nanjing to Iran and Argentina.

Serbia are preparing for their EuroBasket 2009 qualifying games against Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary and Finland.

Felizardo Ambrosio had 12 points to lead the scoring for Angola, who will be in Group B at the Olympics Team USA, Spain, China, Germany and Greece.
