Career: Petro Atletico (Angola, 2001-04), Community Christian Stockbridge (USA-Prep School, 2004-05), Petro Atletico (Angola, 2005-08)
After a short stint in the United States at the Community of Christian Stockbridge High School in Georgia in 2004-05, Carlos Morais returned to Angola and has played ever since with one of the country’s leading clubs, Petro Atletico. Due to his youth and inexperience, he saw limited action at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan and at the last FIBA Africa Championship, but Morais has an excellent outside shooting touch and his importance to the team is growing. Though given limited opportunities (he played just 16 minutes per game last year at the FIBA Africa Championship), Morais has made the most of them. In the 2007 Africa event, he poured in 9.8 points per contest and shot an impressive 10 of 16 from long range.
